About me

Asma Al-Sahli

Interaction & service designer based in Oslo.

I ask a lot of questions. Usually, one leads to three more.

That curiosity is a big part of how I design. I like understanding what people do, what gets in their way, and whether the problem we started with is actually the one we need to solve.

I’m currently doing my master’s in Design at AHO, after studying Interaction Design at NTNU in Gjøvik.

How I work

I’ll zoom out. Then zoom right in.

I’m drawn to the messy beginning of a project, when there are observations, questions, and no obvious answer yet.

I like finding connections and turning them into something we can work with: a clearer problem, a flow, or a prototype.

Then I get particular about the details. The wording on a button. What someone needs to know before taking the next step. Whether a screen makes sense without someone standing beside it explaining.

Moving between those scales is what interests me about interaction and service design.

What I’ve been working on

My projects have taken me from digital competence in municipal healthcare to design systems and websites for small businesses. Across these different settings, I’ve enjoyed working out how information, interactions, and services can become easier to understand and use.
